Meling Ranch, also known as San José, is the product of a marriage uniting two
pioneering families - the Melings and the Johnsons. Both families settled in northern
Baja California in the early 1900s.
The ranch house, rebuilt after the ranch was
destroyed during the 1911 revolution, is a model example of the structures of that
era. The 10,000 acre cattle ranch offers its guests comfortable accommodations,
family-style meals, a swimming pool and horseback riding; Sierra San
Pedro Mátir National Park trips. A 3500 -foot
graded airstrip is just east of the ranch.
